Traditional Country Stew

Difficulty:Easy Preparation Time: 4 to 6 hours (10 hours for low heat)

Ingredients

Allens Butterfield New Potatoes
  • 1 (29 oz) can Allens Butterfield New Whole Potatoes
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can Freshlike Crinkle Cut Carrots
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 pounds beef chuck, cubed
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 (8 oz) package mushrooms, diced
  • 2 stalks celery, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (1 oz) package dry onion soup mix

Directions

Combine the flour, 1 teaspoon paprika, seasoned salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper in a large, resealable plastic bag. Add the beef, and seal the bag. Shake the bag thoroughly to coat the beef with seasoned flour. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Shake the excess seasoning off the beef, then stir the beef into the hot skillet with the onion and mushrooms. Cook and stir until the beef is evenly browned and no longer pink. Drain and discard any excess grease.

Place the beef mixture into a slow cooker. Place the Butterfield potatoes, Freshlike carrots, celery, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce into the cooker with the beef mixture. Pour the beef broth and tomatoes into the cooker, and stir in the onion soup mix and 1 more teaspoon of paprika. Cook on high for 4 to 6 hours, or on low for 10. Season to taste with salt and black pepper.

Allens Chicken Taco Soup Recipe

Difficulty:Easy Preparation Time: 1 hour 30 minutes

Ingredients

Allens Whole Kernel Corn
  • 1 (15.25 oz) can Allens Whole Kernel Corn, drained
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 small jalapeño pepper, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, diced
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 Tbsp cilantro
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken breasts, chopped

Directions

Combine all ingredients into a large stock pot. Bring soup to a boil, turn down heat to a simmer. Simmer soup for 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and tender. Top with cheese, tortilla chips and jalapeño if desired.

Freshlike Sweet Pea Chicken Stroganoff

Ingredients

Freshlike Tender Sweet Peas
  • 1 (15 oz) can Freshlike Tender Garden Peas
  • 2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts - diced
  • 1/8 cup margarine
  • 1 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup

Directions

Put chicken, margarine and dressing mix in slow cooker; mix together and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours. Add cream cheese and soup, mix together and cook on high for another 1/2 hour or until heated through and warm.

Seafood Veg-All Chowder

Seafood Veg-All Chowder

Difficulty: Easy Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

Veg-All Original Mixed Vegetables
  • 1 (15 oz) can Veg-All Original Mixed Vegetables, drained
  • 1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of shrimp soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1 (6 oz) can crabmeat, drained
  • 1 (4.5 oz) can medium shrimp, drained
  • 1 (6 oz) can white meat tuna in water, drained

Directions

In large saucepan, combine cream of celery soup, cream of shrimp soup, milk, Old Bay seasoning, and pepper. Bring to a slow simmer over medium heat. Stir in Veg-All, crab, shrimp, and tuna. Continue to cook for 5 to 7 minutes until heated through.

Southern Vegetable Queso

Difficulty:Easy Preparation Time: 1 hour

Ingredients

Allens Canned Vegetables
  • 1 (15 oz) can Allens Sweet Peas, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (15.25 oz) can Allens Whole Kernen Corn, drained
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can Allens Cut Yellow Squash, drained and diced
  • 1 cup fat free milk
  • 1 cup fat free sour cream
  • 1 lb reduced fat processed cheese product, cubed
  • 1 (8 oz) package fat free cream cheese, cubed
  • 1/2 tsp creole seasoning
  • 1 (4 oz) can diced green chiles
  • 2 medium tomatoes, finely diced and drained
  • Baked tortilla chips

Directions

Place all ingredients except tomatoes and chips in a slow cooker. Cook on low for 3-4 hours until cheese is melted, stirring occasionally. Stir in tomatoes. Serve with chips.
